Shanghai Disneyland Is Not What You Think ✨

Instead of Main Street U.S.A., you walk through Mickey Avenue — a charming street that feels uniquely Chinese yet still 100% Disney magic. It’s like stepping into a new chapter of Disney storytelling.

🏰 The Biggest Castle Ever

The Enchanted Storybook Castle is the largest Disney castle ever built. It’s massive, detailed, and honestly a showstopper from every angle.

🦊 A World’s First: Zootopia Land

This is the first Zootopia-themed land in the world — and if you’ve seen the movie, you’ll know how fun and whimsical that can be. Walking through it feels like stepping right into Judy Hopps’ city.

🎢 Next-Level Rides

The rides here are smoother, longer, and seriously more high-tech than anything I’ve experienced at other Disney parks. Think updated classics with a futuristic twist.

🍜 Disney Dining, Shanghai Style

Forget Mickey pretzels and churros — here, you’re sipping osmanthus bubble tea, slurping ramen with Mickey-shaped eggs, and biting into BBQ pork buns. And yes, it’s just as magical as it sounds.

🎭 A Multilingual Experience

Stage shows are in Mandarin, but don’t worry — many characters speak English at meet-and-greets. It’s a fun cultural twist that makes the whole experience feel even more special.

🌸 A Hero Worth Celebrating

One thing I absolutely loved: Mulan is everywhere. She’s honored in the parades, the merch, the shows, and even inside the castle. And honestly, it feels so right to see her celebrated in this park.

🏨 Stay in the Magic

If you’re planning a visit, you can stay right on property at the Shanghai Disneyland Hotel or the Toy Story Hotel. Both are immersive and keep the Disney magic going long after you leave the park.

Tokyo Disneyland is NOT What You Think ✨

When you hear Tokyo Disneyland, you might think it’s the same as the parks in California or Florida. But trust me — Tokyo Disney Resort is in a league of its own, and it blew me and my family away! 💖

Two Parks, Twice the Fun 🎢

There are actually two parks here: Tokyo Disneyland and the one-of-a-kind Tokyo DisneySea. Each has experiences you won’t find anywhere else — and honestly, both are must-dos.

Our Favorite Unique Rides & Attractions 🚤

We rode a gondola through the waterways — it felt like we were in Venice, not Japan!

The kids loved hopping on a double-decker bus that rolls over cobblestone streets. For a second, you forget where you are.

Mermaid Lagoon is every kid’s dream — it’s a huge indoor playground with rides and play areas that kept my little ones busy for hours.

The Happy Ride with Baymax stole our hearts. You can only find it at Tokyo Disneyland, and it’s so much fun!

DisneySea Magic 🌊

DisneySea is seriously the most beautiful Disney park I’ve ever seen. And now, it’s even more magical:

It connects right to the brand-new Fantasy Springs Hotel — so you can literally stay in the magic.

Fantasy Springs just opened, with three new lands, including Arendelle: World of Frozen (yes, Frozen fans, this is everything!).

The Rapunzel’s Lantern Festival boat ride might be the most romantic Disney attraction ever — we were all in awe. ✨

And don’t miss Tinker Bell’s Busy Buggies — it’s whimsical, family-friendly, and made us feel like kids again.

Why We Loved It 🌟

What makes Tokyo Disney so special is how it blends classic Disney magic with experiences you can’t get anywhere else. From watching the kids light up at Mermaid Lagoon to soaking in the dreamy lanterns on Rapunzel’s ride, it’s a place that makes family memories in the best way.

So when people say Tokyo Disneyland is just like the others — I promise you, it’s NOT what you think. It’s even better. 🏰

About Me

Hi there, my name is Rachel, last name is pronounced “she”. I am a mom of 3, brand new to the microblogging world. I was encouraged by a few girlfriends to give blogging a try because I enjoy taking beautiful photos and writing, so here I am! I hope to write about family, travels, lifestyle and health through this platform. I thought about names like Xi is fierce, or brave, or loving, but I decided it’s best to just be me, which encompasses more than what any single adjective could describe.
