As a former high school teacher and now full-time mama of 3, learning doesn’t stop for us in the summer, and I love witnessing my kids’ enthusiasm for learning and seeing them grow in wisdom. This summer, I have discovered a remarkable educational tool that combines the wonders of technology and timeless magic of Disney, that I have to share with y’all!
Disney’s Holiday and 50th Anniversary Treats
It’s almost Christmas Adam! Get it? Since Adam came before Eve 😇
I wanted to share some of our favorite holiday and 50th anniversary treats we got the past few days! 🍭 It was hard not to want to eat everything at Disney because they were all so beautifully made and delicious! Good thing I walked about 25,000 steps a day in the parks, so…bring on the treats 😋🎄🍭

Tips for Visiting Avengers Campus
A few years ago, we took our 3 kids, flew across the Pacific and visited family in Hong Kong. We HAD to visit Hong Kong Disneyland, and had our first experience at Disney’s Avengers themed park. I expected the new Avengers Campus at Disneyland to be similar, but it’s actually quite different!
Mulan 2020 Live-action Remake Review

September 5th, 2020
This movie means a lot to me, and I explained my anxiety before watching it in the previous post.
Warning – spoilers below – if you haven’t yet watched yet and want to form your own opinions first, please wait to read.
Mulan is finally coming out!
Truth be told, I’m excited but also NERVOUS about the live-action remake of Mulan coming out on Disney Plus today!
Mulan to me was a real Chinese heroine, whose life I had known since I was a toddler. The Ballad of Mulan was the longest Chinese poem I ever memorized since I was 5, taught stanza by stanza by my patient father who cared about me knowing my culture. Mulan represents the kind of family loyalty and self-discipline that are true to Chinese culture.

Two weeks after visiting the great grandparents in Shanghai and finally experiencing the magic at Shanghai Disneyland, we packed up our suitcases and 3 little ones, and flew to Hong Kong to visit my in-laws and more Disney magic at Hong Kong Disneyland!
This was my first time in Hong Kong, and boy was I surprised at just how densely populated but also really beautiful this island is! A little bit of history about Hong Kong – it is part of China but is governed separately, and it has its own economic system. Hong Kong was colonized by the British Empire for 100 years before it was returned to China in 1997. Because of that, a lot of people in Hong Kong speak English and Mandarin, while Cantonese is spoken by everyone.

Alice in Wonderland Maze
Alice and White Rabbit
Alice said it best – “It’s no use going back to yesterday, because I was a different person then.” Maybe we remember yesterday with fondness and nostalgia, or wish we were back at a simpler time before the difficult things started happening. But we are different today because of our experiences that have made us smarter, stronger and more unique.
May you and I embrace TODAY and cherish the Wonderland we get to be in, right now.
National Chocolate Day
Hi, my name is Rachel and I’m a chocoholic 🙋🏻♀️ Today is National Chocolate Day! I started the day working hard in Barre which now allows me to eat all the chocolate I want before picking up my kids and pretending I’m really healthy and don’t eat that much chocolate! 🙈 My husband has always known this dirty little secret of mine, and my college roomie/maid-of-honor @prp729 who has seen…well, everything, and now you do too.
The best chocolate treats are Minnie Mouse shaped am I right? 😍 I found these beautiful chocolate cake pops in Downtown Disney in Anaheim, the cookies here in Houston @tudorhousecookies, and the chocolate covered Minnie Mouse donut from Disneyland Hong Kong! Cheers to a sweet and chocolatey week! ❤️ Don’t forget to get some exercises in to balance out the sweetness too 😘
Maleficent – Mistress of Evil

I may come off as bubbly and a ray of sunshine to many of you (and I am), but I definitely have a dark side, just like Maleficent, my all-time favorite villain – cue evil laughter👸🏻⚡️ #MeettheMinnies
If you watched the first movie back in 2014, you know Maleficent was not evil, just extremely hurt (many of us can understand and relate!) and sought revenge. But ultimately the love in her heart won over her, proving her love to be even truer than that of Prince Philip’s!! Ohhh the love between a mother and daughter! 💕 She has got to be the BEST Disney villain ever!
Maleficent – Mistress of Evil officially comes out TODAY, and I cannot wait to watch it! Celebrating this month with Maleficent as my @otterboxstyle#otterboxambassador
