Oh I Just Can’t Wait to be King

Do you or your kids have a favorite animal? Mine are definitely loving the giraffes right now! There is no Disneyland in Texas, but that doesn’t stop us from finding Disney magic wherever we go 😉✨ After a whole morning with the kiddos at the zoo, I can’t get Circle of Life out of my head right now! We loved feeding the giraffes, seeing dinosaurs come alive, and the kids excitedly spotting all the animals they saw from The Lion King!

Princess Cinderella

Is she not the cutest Cinderella you’ve ever seen? 🥺😂 This was taken on my first Disney trip as a mom. I had no idea what to expect and was surprised my daughter didn’t want to go up to any characters or princesses. Now that I have 3 I learned not all kids have as much separation anxiety – my youngest absolutely LOVES all the characters and have no fear of interacting with them at all. I also learned that either way is PERFECTLY FINE! Each kid is unique and precious. There is no need to compare them, best to just love and embrace them for exactly who God made them to be 🥰

Boba and Marriage

Today the pastor asked about our hopes and dreams for our children, and just like most other parents, we want our kids to be happy, healthy and successful, married well and have beautiful children of their own in the future. While there is nothing wrong with these hopes and dreams, the pastor told us that we should really want for our kids to –

Beautiful Chaos

I LOVE weekends because daddy is home and we get to spend as much family time as we want together! 🤪 It gets crazy but for the most part we enjoy creating these beautifully chaotic memories. Today our kids got to frolick amongst colorful balloons, giant magical bubbles, bouncy house slides, live music and brunch on the patio, unreal right? And they had chocolate ice cream all over their mouths by the end 😆 That’s a pretty PERFECT Saturday in my mama book! 💯

.
Note my 6-year old with 3 missing teeth in the front! Anyone else with kids missing multiple teeth right now? I think it’s pretty funny to see them talk and eat with all those gaps! 😂

Heart to Market

This was my first experience at Heart to Market. It was so cute and amazing! 💕(I got to hang out with my beautiful mama friends @sharonnicole@michmashpash and @joyfullygreen! ) Everything there was made by moms and for moms, and I absolutely believe in supporting small businesses especially ones by women, so inspiring!
.
.
@hearttomarket will be in Sugar Land this whole weekend, so if you have time and live close by you should definitely check them out!

Bobalyeverafter!

Thank you friends for supporting me since I wanted to give blogging a try 2 weeks ago! I’m finding out more of my intentions of wanting to blog – sharing motherhood, mom feels and tips, health and fitness and of course DISNEY! ✨
.
.
I’m officially changing my blog name to BobalyEverAfter, and I’m working on a blog site to come too 🙂 The reason being…I love Disney, sometimes I feel I’m living in a fairytale with my husband and 3 children (I’m a hopeless romantic as my friend Grace just put it 😆 but of course their tantrums and chaos bring me back to real life haha), and yes I love my boba drinks!!!
.
.
Thank you YY, WB, Marian & Crystal, Amy, Tina, Carolyn, B, Nicki, Val etc for supporting me in giving this an honest try! Thank you also to Nina and Maggie for being my honest sisters/friends and telling me your concerns and what I needed to hear because I know you love and care for me ❤️

Cheers to BobalyEverAfter! 🥂😆

May You Stay Forever Young

We saw a newborn baby at the hospital today. Talking to the new mama brought me back to the moment I had my very first baby 6 years ago, back to all the complex emotions (anxious, excited, unsure, over-the-moon, more anxious) only a mother can thoroughly understand. 6 years sounds like a long time, but it really didn’t feel like that long ago.
.
.
Today my 6-year-old celebrated her soon-to-be 1st grader status with friends from school. When the girls took a group picture and shouted “1st grade!” I almost lost it. Yes I’m that emotional mama, the one who makes scrapbooks, writes letters to her children, prays over them every night, tears up on 1st and last days of school, and now blogging about it all.
.
.
May you build a ladder to the stars
And climb on every rung
May you stay forever young ✨

Blessings in Our Messiness

Happy to wake up to a new week! ☀️ Still thinking about everything the pastor said yesterday – when it comes to parenting, the days are long but the years are short, and if we’re not careful, we miss the blessings in our messy lives.
.
Our children are created on purpose and for a purpose. By fixing our eyes on the unseen, through eyes of faith, we begin to see the eternal possibilities.
.
Here is to being more intentional and present in my kids’ lives this week, and keeping my eyes on God first and foremost! .

One Jetlagged Baby

This is what a jetlagged baby looks like in our house 🥺
.
.
Jetlag is hard enough for me alone, throw in 3 kids who’re also trying to get over 13 hours of time difference…well I’m just grateful I’m a stay home mom and don’t have to get up at a certain time to work! 😆
.
.
With advice from @thebucketlistfamilyand my international travel expert mommy friend @crystalmoimoi, we “drugged” our kids for the FIRST time ever with children’s melatonin, and I must say the tiny tablet worked rather well on my older two, who slept almost 9 hours straight on the international flight! The baby was too young to be fed one, so he is having a harder time trying to sleep, and we’ve been, yawn, playing with him at 1am because he is so awake at that time!
.
.
Hoping a week is all we need to all get back to normal! If you have experience with how to get over jetlag faster please do share!
